Spring is around the corner and the housing market in Iowa City and Coralville is heating up. That’s good enough reason to revamp my website.
Right away you’ll notice the addition of real estate listings to the site. The IDX feed with current, up to date listings from the Iowa City MLS, is provided by Spot-On Connect. What I like most about the search is that it’s clean and easy to use and best of all the photo presentation is among the best I’ve seen.
Since I never do things by half measures, (being raised by a father in the military made sure of that). For buyers and sellers looking for more than just homes there’s now a Lifestyle Tool on the site. The lifestyle tool provides information from public records on neighborhoods, schools, restaurants, hospitals… The list goes on…)
To give you an idea of what the Lifestyle Tool (in the sidebar) can do, below is a map I created of public schools in the Iowa City area. It includes schools in Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, Oxford West Branch and Hills. The shaded area around the schools indicates a distance of a quarter of a mile. Clicking on a school provides all sorts of good data about that school. The city boundaries are also marked. (The full page version is much better to view the cities properly). Selecting a city, (or town), gets you all sorts of good data about that.
